Dartmoor Walk, more painting, or more yoga…
There will be strong yogasana and stretches for adepts, gentler limberings for others, we all work in ways suitable for our present state of health and energy. Iyengar based yoga style, modified.
An upright sitting meditation posture with cushions is taught and encouraged. Some prefer to use a chair or even lie down. The sitting is interspersed with walking-meditation.
Walking meditation may be outside, (bring warm clothes and walking shoes).
Delicious vegetarian meals, we ask some help with clearing up please.
A relaxed silence upheld most of the time allows our minds and bodies to expand into spacious joyful awareness in the present-moment.
Only 10 people. Single rooms £250, (less if sharing) Extra day £20. Please bring sheets, towels, yoga mat, any special diet food, warm garments and shoes/boots for outdoor walking.

Joanna Pelly, Bala Brook, South Brent, Devon TQ10 9ED mentioning any medical condition or special dietary need.
This place, previously Zeal cottage, is now renamed Bala Brook.
'Bala' is the name of the brook that pours down the edge of the property into the Avon, in Celtic it means stream of water. In Sanskrit, it refers to the energy and vigour required for yoga-meditation spiritual evolvement.
Travel instructions.
By train to Totnes station, taxi (we will try to arrange sharing) 8 miles
By car, driving south from Exeter along the A 38, quit at Marley Head, north-east of South Brent, wriggle north-westwards around lanes following signs to Avon Dam, up to Shipley Bridge (a big public carpark, whence a tarmac pedestrian track leads northwards to the Avon Reservoir-Dam). At Shipley Bridge cross the river Avon, follow the lane around turning southwards past the big carpark. – After 2 minutes, look out for ‘Zeal cottage’ – ‘Bala Brook’, the second habitation on your right.
Approaching on the A385 from Totnes, cross the A38 and follow as above.
Approaching along the A 38 from the south, turn off to South Brent, pass through the village, over the railway. There are 2 northwards winding lanes, take the left-hand one, through Aish, about 2 & 1/2 miles on up following signs to Shipley Bridge - Avon Dam. Bala Brook (aka "Zeal cottage") is on the left in a dip just before a little bridge over the Bala, 3 minutes before Shipley Bridge.
