Over many years Jo has attended classes and courses with teachers (Iyengar, Ashtanga and other styles), in NZ, UK and India, studied the yoga texts, qualified as a British Wheel Teacher, learned and practised Buddhist meditation, taught classes and lead retreats.

She now shares the power and grace of contemporary yoga, on the basis of an outlook formulated here as a diamond with 5 facets.
This outlook finds expression in Jo’s retreats, guided walks on Dartmoor, and in the life of Harbour House, centre for yoga and Arts in Kingsbridge, (founded and directed by Jo). (The walks can be silent, with suggestions for meditation, by arrangement.)
The 5 component design sets non-attachment, (letting go) at the centre, hoping to release our practice from the ego urges so prevalent today.

Cosmic representation of Jain prophet, Parsvanatha, from Rajasthan. Nine interconnecting circles, one for each of the 8 directions, the 9th in the middle, revealing perfect equilibrium and cohesion of all elements bodily and universal. All the secrets of the universe are present in the human body.
