Jo is BWY diploma qualified, and has trained with senior teachers in several traditions. She has evolved a retreat style that energises mind and body and brings us all to the quiet place within where we feel joyful and at peace.

The deep yoga  offers a chance to be uplifted by our innate natural life force, stimulated by Dartmoor’s special energies, reconnecting us with the core of being where life really is.

There will be strong yogasana and stretches for adepts, gentler limberings for others, we all work in ways suitable for our present state of health and energy. Iyengar-based yoga style, modified by other methods.

An upright sitting meditation posture with cushions is taught and encouraged. Some prefer to use a chair or even lie down. The sitting sessions are interspersed with walking-meditation. Walking meditation may be outside, (bring warm clothes and walking shoes).

Delicious vegetarian meals, we ask some help clearing up.

A relaxed silence upheld most of the time allows our minds to relax into spacious awareness .

Please bring bedlinen, towels, yoga mat, any special diet food, warm garments and shoes/boots for outdoor walking.
